Since Instagram was acquired by Facebook in 2012, we have seen a lot of features that landed, like Instagram Stories and Boomerang, which is sort of an add-on. These new features have really got us more interested and people have loved ’em. Not only do they provide a different way to socialise, but have also enhanced the experience of using Instagram on mobile platforms.
Today, we have come around another sweet feature that was announced and has been added recently to Instagram Android app. It will allow you to post upto 10 photos or videos in one single post. It’s like uploading your own media album to Instagram. Cool, right?
While all major social media platforms have had this functionality for a long time, but it is even better to see this on an app that is dedicated to only sharing photos and videos.
Update Instagram to get the new feature
The feature is part of an app update (version 10.9). You can update directly from the Play Store. Click on the box below or open Play Store on your Android device.
In case your country/region has still not received the update, you can manually install the apk by downloading it from APKMirror.com.
Once you have installed the update, it is easy to use the feature. Just open the Instagram app on your Android and tap on the add “+” icon. You will see a new multiple media icon that will allow you to pick upto 10 photos and videos for your post. You can then long-press the content to rearrange them and also apply filters collectively or one-by-one.
A post with blue dot in the Instagram feed will indicate that you can view more photos or videos that have been added. In your own profile, if you see an icon on the first photo/video of the post, then you will know that it has more to see.
We are totally loving the new feature, it helps us add even more moments to one single post. Do you like it too? Let us know in the comments down below. And don’t forget to share this article on your social channels.
