WhatsApp Status feature is revamping again with latest beta

Now that’s something we all wanted right? Last month, new stories-like status capability was introduced in WhatsApp, replacing the old text-style status. But a lot of us didn’t love it as much, plus it did take a toll on our privacy. Of course we don’t want all our contacts peeking in our life all the time, right?

If you have opted for the WhatsApp Beta Program, you will now be able to enjoy the sweet old statuses, once again. So if you’re not much interested in sharing a photo daily as a status, then you have just hit the spot.

Get Back Text-Style Status with WhatsApp Beta

While the Status tab is still present, WhatApp’s old text-style status could be accessed like before. Just tap on the 3-dot overflow button on the top-right and select Settings. Tap on your profile and there it is! However, it is now called “About” which clearly indicates that you’re typing in about yourself.

So now if you want to enjoy WhatsApp the same way you did a month back, download and install WhatsApp beta v2.17.95. You can do that either by updating through the Play Store (You have to be a beta tester) or by manually installing the application from APKMirror.
